Interviewed by the St. Thomas More “Cougar Cast” Student Show for Black History Month!
I was recently took part in a brief interview by the student-ran Cougar Cast a live weekly school TV newscast show filmed out of St. Thomas More Catholic High School in Lafayette, LA.
Their show focuses on school announcements, important news, sports and weather, but sometimes that have special themed episodes like the one I was featured on that celebrated Black History Month alongside their regular news.
On this episode I was asked to talk about the origin and mission of my BLACKCATHOLIC apostolate and about its orientation toward the Black community. I also talk about one of my personal heroes in the faith.
It was a great time being on the Cougar Cast for the students at St. Thomas More! The Cougar Cast is a awesome program and these young people do a really good job making and running their own live production. I was honored to be a guest on their show and I know St. Thomas More (both the school and the saint) is proud of the students, the show, and the job they have been doing!
Shout out to all the awesome students that make the Cougar Cast happen and Robin who oversees the production!
Watch the entire episode (which also features a segment on the history of the Black music art form of Jazz for Black History Month) and see what a great job these young folks have done! My segment starts at minute 7:27 and ends at 9:52
