Christmas Party After Party
The past week was filled with a lot of Christmas gatherings of seminarians, vocation staff, and the bishop. One of them was the annual V.I.P (Vocations In Progress) Dinner organized by the Serra Club of Nashville. Every year the dinner mostly celebrates the seminarians in formation and the postulates/novices/first vows of the Nashville Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia. It also celebrates in a smaller way the vocations we already fully have because, in a sense, vocations are always “in progress” until the Beatific Vision.
Below is most of us in big group. Then the other is some of us (including me throwing up the peace sign lol) with our Vocations Office Coordinator, Jerilyn who keeps us all in line so we don’t make our poor Vocation Director Father Gilstrap take the struggle bus too often!
Then this past Friday we gathered at the Bishop’s house for our Christmas party. We all had a great time and Bishop didn’t hold back on the gifts!
One of them was all new jackets with our vocation logo on it. Ain’t gonna lie. I’ve been wearing it since I got it. Too sweet!
