The Final Countdown Begins: 3 Months Until I Become a Catholic Priest [T-Minus 92 days]

As many of you know, I’ve been in seminary for the past six and a half years. I graduated this past December and was ordained a deacon. But that wasn’t the end of the story—it wasn’t the end of the journey.

The true goal has always been the priesthood.

Over the years, I’ve invited you all to take a look inside my journey since 2018, when I first started BLACKCATHOLIC. I’ve always wanted to bring you along for this path, and now I want to take you to the very end of it. So, I’m excited to officially announce that—God willing—I will be ordained a priest for the Diocese of Nashville on August 9th, 2025, during this Jubilee Year.

We’re so close! Today is May 9th, so in just three months, I’ll be a priest. I want to bring you all along that final stretch of the journey in a deeper and more visible way—through videos and other updates—so you can see what the final phase of preparation for priesthood looks like.

I’m still figuring out exactly what that will look like, and how frequently I’ll be able to post, but I wanted to at least make this video to share the idea and let you know that I’d love for you to join me on this journey.
